Hello i have been diagnosed with this was once i extracted my wisdom teeth it has been coming out. When i smile you can see an extra tooth. It is located above my front big two teeth right about the middle. My question is can this cause symptoms such as tension headaches, dizziness , facial pressure and etc. My physician think it is positional vertigo but none of the exercises work. Can the extra tooth be somewhat impacted on the front teeth?

  • The extra tooth which is also called mesiodens is not known to cause systemic problems like headache dizziness. Sometimes as one mesiodens is erupted and the second mesiodens can be present which is not visible and is impacted. It may cause some pressure symptoms but not dizziness or headache. If the impacted mesiodens is present, it's position can be known only thru xray. If you think that mesiodens are creating problems then you can get them extracted as they are of no use. Normally also they are extracted to improve the aesthetics.
