My 17 year old daughter took a trip to Europe. While in France she had to have a root canal. After she got back it became abscessed. We went to the dentist and he said it needed another root canal and the tooth may still not be saved. Or we could have it abstracted then have a bridge or implant. Any advice or suggestion? Thank you.

  • If the abscess is there in tooth which is already root canal treated then definately you have to go for Re-Root Canal Treatment and prognosis of re root canal treatment is poor as compared to first time root canal treatment. So your dentist is right in saying that failure of re-root canal treatment can occur but it is always better to try to save your own tooth. So you can go for Re-Root Canal Treatment and take chance.
