Hello, My name's John, I'm a 25 year old male and about six months ago I finally quit dipping. My gums are healing, my cheeks and tongue do not feel rough anymore and I'm just really happy to finally be off that junk. However, in recent months I have noticed that my teeth are not fitting correctly. I had my wisdom teeth removed about two and a half years ago, but it's doubtful that could be the cause. Also, my jaw has always been misaligned due to a bike accident i had as a child. in other words, i am curious as to why my bite seems to be different. i would obviously hate for it to be tobacco-related considering my recent cessation from tobacco products. hopefully you can help, thank you.

  • As you have written that your jaw was malaligned because of bike accident so your teeth also be out of occlusion as they must not be fitting properly before also but may be before you have not noticed it or may be now the condition has aggrevated. It has nothing to do with your habbit of dipping. If you want to get it corrected then you have to visit a dentist who will diagnose the problem and accordingly send you to specialist. If it is due to malalignment of jaw then Oral Surgeon has to be consulted along with Orthodontist. In these cases Orthognathic surgery may be needed.
