I have heard that over bites can be corrected with rubber bands alone without the braces. Is this true? If so, how much would this cost?

  • Rubber dams alone cannot correct the overbite. Braces are must. First braces will bring teeth in alignment and then brackets of braces will be used as anchorage for holding the rubber bands which will finally correct the over bite. You have to discuss this with your Orthodontist. The whole treatment of braces and rubberbands will  take around 18-24 months depending on amount of overbite and the whole treatment cost will be around $5000-$7500 depending on dentist to dentist and place to place and location to location.
