I have a tooth under what I think is a permanent tooth and the tooth on top is loose. Is this possible to have permant tooth under permant? Or is it just a baby tooth?

  • If the tooth which has a tooth under it is mobile then definitely it is the baby tooth. The baby teeth are replaced by the permanent teeth . The baby teeth root resorbs and eventually the baby tooth is shed and is replaced by the adult tooth. It is quite unlikely for the permanent tooth to have another tooth under it untill and unless it is the ectopic eruption.
