Hello, I just had a tooth extracted today. my question is the tooth next to it has gotten its gums detached from my other tooth being extracted the detachment is about 1/4 " down the tooth. I can touch it with my tongue and its just a flap of skin now. Will this heal or do I need to go somewhere for this?

  • The detachment of gum of adjacent tooth is normal. It will heal itself with the healing of extraction socket. Donot irritate it and donot touch with tongue and follow all instructions and meds given by your dentist. Keep doing warm saline rinses and maintain good oral hygiene so that extraction socket doesnot get infected.
