How often do I need to go to my dentist for a check-up if I decide to keep my impacted wisdom teeth? What kind of at-home care can I do for them besides brushing, flossing, and gargling?

  • Visit to dentist after keeping impacted wisdom teeth depends on the symptoms. If you have problem like pain, swelling then you have to visit dentist otherwise regular 6 monthly checkups are enough. You donot have to take any extra care but have to be very particular to clean the area around the impacted wisdom tooth as in this area sometimes brushing is not done properly because it is difficult to reach wisdom teeth. Along with brushing and flossing you can do warm saline rinses and can use some good antimicrobial mouthwash. As soon as you feel any discomfort or pain in impacted wisdom tooth area, you must visit your dentist. For more info on impacted wisdom teeth you can read this article...
