  • Gingivectomy is the normal procedure done in which the gums are surgically given the required shape. It is done under local anaesthesia and it is done by the periodontist who is the specialist in the gum surgery. As you have gummy smile the dentist after numbing the area will incise the extra gum keeping in mind the normal contour of the gums. The gingivectomy costs about $400 to 500 per quadrant.
