I had a cavity filled today without a drill or novacaine. After and still my side inner lip is raw looking and a little numb. Is this normal?

  • Lips can be raw and little numb because of some trauma or pressure on lips during filling. Lips can also be raw and numb because of some allergic reaction or exposure to some toxic chemicals. Some medications and low temperature can also lead to raw lips. Some numbness can also be there because of infected tooth present. Condition will probably regress in some time. If condition doesn’t seem to regress, then you can visit your dentist for evaluation.
