I had a root canal 8 days ago. I am on an antibiotic because of an infection. the tooth still hurts when I tap on it. Question-- should a tooth that has no nerve in it still hurt when tapped?

  • If pain is present on tapping after the root canal treatment it means the apical tissue of the tooth has not healed or there is a chance the root canal is not done properly and infwction is still there. If tissue healing is taking place then the pain should gradually start decreasing but if it is because of infection then the pain will increase in intensity. In that case reroot canal has to be done. for more inof on reroot canal treatment you can vist the following link........http://www.identalhub.com/article_root-canal-re-treatment-304.aspx
