  • Teeth in roof of mouth of your grandson can be supernumerary teeth which are extra teeth or can be there because of ectopic eruption of some other teeth. There is no specific cause of supernumerary teeth and they cause crowding, resorption of roots of other teeth and hindrance in eruption etc.  They can also be there because of ectopic eruption of some other adult teeth. Without clinical examination and without taking the x-rays, it is difficult to give definite diagnosis. If they are supernumerary teeth, then they can be pulled out. You can take your grandson to a pedodontist who is specialist in children dentistry.
