I got colgate total gum defense and it has whitening. does that mean when i take my braces off their will be a mark where the brackets are?

  • It is always advisable not to use any whitening agent while getting braces treatment as the area which is covered by brackets will not get whitened and when the braces are removed then there will be patches on teeth. After the braces are removed you can use any whitening prodcut as it will then have uniform affect on teeth. Till then you can maintain very good oral hygiene so that the tooth decay is not there. When the braces will be removed by dentist, he will polish your teeth and all the glue marks etc will be removed and you teeth will be shiny white.
