Hi, I had a dental filling with resin material last week. After few days i had skin rashes around my neck appearing. Is this due to the resin filling i had or may be due to other reasons like fungal or food. I have heard only amalgam filling has side effect of causing skin rashes or more. Please clarify. Based on your response i am planning to go for refilling with alternate tooth filling material. Thanks in advance

  • Resin filling that is the composite filling do not causes rashes in the skin. Your allergy may be because of some other causes. If you are allergic to resin filling the rashes or redness will be in the mouth around the tooth mucosa not in the neck. but till now I have to yet see the case who is alergic to composite filling.
