I just had a fillings done. When I got back home and looked in the mirror, I saw that the fillings (there're 2 of them) have silver color (amalgam probably). I don't like it. Should I ask my dentist to redo them and do the white fillings instead?

  • I had a root canal in two teeth and after 6 years my both teeth just fell out. I am now in the process of getting the dental implants. Considering how uncomfortable the root canal was I wish I had just gone through dental implantation.

  • Dr. says I need to go to s specialist because my root canals are too close to my nasal cavities for his comfort. So, he says there's a higher success rate of replacement teeth. However, I have an issue with my bone being drilled a hole into. Which is the best option? I can pay for either.

  • Yes, you can ask your dentist to change the fillng but you have to pay for that as the tooth colored filling is expensive than the amalgam filling and more so ever your dentist has to remove the amalgam filling and then do the tooth colored filling.
