  • Yes tooth does tighten up after it is knocked loose but depends on the amount of mobility. If the mobility is very slight and tooth has not extruded from socket then taking precautions like not to bite with that tooth or irritate it further, will cause the tightening of tooth. If the tooth has intruded in the socket, even then we wait upto 2-3 weeks so that tooth comes out in proper alignment. But if the tooth is very mobile then there are chances that it will not tighten up and in that case you have to go dentist and get the splintting done along with endo treatment.
