When I wake up in the morning I always have a yellow substance on my front teeth. It wipes away with brushing. I occasionally get it during the day as well. Is there a way to prevent this?

  • The yellow substance deposit on teeth is nothing but is pellicle formation and is mucous layer containing bateria and food debris. It is mainly due to poor oral hygiene. You must not be brushing at night and maintaing good oral hygiene. For its prevention, along with proper brushing and flossing at night, you can use some anti microbial mouthwash which is available OTC 2-3 times a day. If you have deposits or some gum problem, you can visit the dentist and get the cleaning done. Normally also after every 6 months, you should get SCRP done from dentist.
