Hello, I recently received braces and my orthodontist states that he cannot attach the braces to the bridges and crowns I have in my mouth. From what I have read and heard it is possible to attach the braces/brackets to the bridges and crowns. Is there a special product or mixture that he must use so that he can get the brackets/braces to stick to the crowns and bridges? Please let me know what your thoughts are.

  • The brackets can not be attached directly to the teeth having crowns and bridges. For that bands had to be made and on the bands brackets are soldered. These bands are fixed on the crowned teeth. The bands are glued on the crowns with dental cement but it is not possible to make the band on the bridge.
