I had a root canal done on my upper right side. After it was done, it got infected and I was sent to a specialist who had a hard time removing the crown. They told me the infection was under control and put the crown back on. I have had pain and now the crown is loose. It came out the other day and it seems that what was left of my tooth is in the crown, I would leave it out, but I feel pieces in my gum. I am afraid of the infection. My biggest issue is that I am unemployed, have no money at all (basically homeless) living in La Mesa, CA (outside of San Diego). Is there anyone who can help me, close to where I am. Thank you. In serious pain, Paige Diller

  • Dental crown can fall off because of infection below dental crown or more of stresses on dental crown. If cementing material which is used is not of good quality, then also dental crown can fall. If dental crown comes off and the prepared tooth is not fractured or broken, then dental crown can be recemented on prepared tooth by dentist. If tooth fractures, then treatment is required for the fractured tooth. If no treatment is done for the tooth, then the tooth can become infected and cause pain. You need to visit your dentist for treatment. You can visit dental school for treatment where treatment is provided at low cost. In a dental school, treatment is done by dental students under supervision of experienced dentists and quality of treatment s not bad either. You can also look for free dental clinics around you. By the time you visit a dentist, continue maintaining good oral hygiene. Avoid eating from side of affected tooth. For some pain relief, you can apply orajel over site or can take otc pain meds.  For more info on remedy of loose dental crown, refer to……   http://www.identalhub.com/dental-remedy-for-loose-dental-crown-895.aspx
