  • These days the gold crowns are not in vogue. Everybody goes for aesthetic crowns. Everybody goes for PFM (Porcelain Fused to Metal) or all ceramic crowns. It is not possible to repair gold crowns. If you want to go for gold crowns only then you have to get them remade. If it is Japanese gold crown, they are quite cheap but if you are talking of gold crown which are made from ornalmental gold then the cost depends upon the amount of gold used in making crown. It is 22 Karat gold which is used. Cost for PFM crown varies from $700 -$1000 depending on place to place and all ceramic crowns are more expensive and can vary from $2000 to $3000 per tooth.
