The wisdom tooth on the bottom right side of my mouth was extracted MArch 8th, however the gum line on that side is still red and I cannot close my mouth like I used to before the surgery. it feel like something is where the wisdom tooth used to be and it hurts to chew and brush on that side. What could be wrong?

  •  Though lot of time has passed since you got the extraction but some times it takes longer for the extraction socket to heal as it depends upon the type of surgery like how much bone has to cut to do the extraction.  Some times it takes upto 3 months for the bone to heal and for that side to feel normal.You should maintain very good oral hygeineand do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day. It will help and try not to irritate that area and avoid eating from that side.
