  • The reason for 14month old kid losing teeth can be because of decay of the teeth which is known as nursing bottle caries or trauma to the teeth which may cause baby teeth to come out or it could be because of some nutritional deficiency. Systemic problem like dentin dysplasia  can also leads to early loosening of teeth. In this condition, rootless teeth are present which fall after some time.  Nursing bottle caries are fast progressing caries and in this, the crown portion falls and only the root portion remains inside the gums. There can be no other reason for a 14month old to loose his baby teeth. It is difficult to give a definite diagnosis without the clinical examination so you can consult a pedodontist in this regard who is specialist in children dentistry.  For more info on nursing bottle caries, you can refer to the following article…http://www.identalhub.com/dental-what-are-nursing-bottle-caries-in-children-802.aspx
