  • Gingivitis is a severe dental ailment characterized by swelling and red colored gums, which indicate blood or an infection within the internal parts of the gums. This may be due to poor oral hygiene and care. If you are not able to brush your teeth regularly and pay a visit to the dentist at least once every six months, you are definitely prone to gingivitis and other gum diseases. Luckily, there that are many ways to make sure to keep your gums healthy and your oral health at its best right at your very own home. Here are some of the steps you can take to treat gingivitis with home remedies. •The first remedy you can do is to take a glass of water and dilute a small amount of salt into the solution. You can use this to clean your mouth in the morning and at night before you go to bed. This will increase the circulation within your oral blood vessels. •The second remedy involves various oil mixtures. With either canola oil, sunflower oil or sesame oil you can now mix one ounce of either of these three in combination with ten drops of tea tree, six myrrh oil drops, three lemon oil drops with a dash of the peppermint oil. •You can therefore use this as a massage solution for your gums. You can also talk to use this as a mouthwash. Do not swallow. •Another home remedy you can make is to mix the oils mentioned earlier with various other oils like thyme or clover into a pot of boiling water and use it as a mouthwash. This oil mixture will ease the oral cavity and treat your gingivitis properly. •Another step that you can take is to rub your gums with coconut or sesame oil to ease the receding and bleeding condition of the oral cavity. Eating apples as well as pears and drinking lemon juice will also help ease the discomfort of having bleeding gums. •One herb that you can use to treat gingivitis is chamomile. It is very effective in soothing inflamed gums. You can use it in toothpaste form or if you are drinking chamomile tea, you can use it as a mouthwash and drink it in between meals. •The last step is to apply hot and cold compresses on your gums to help reduce the swelling. It is recommended that you do this three times a day to achieve the best results possible. In addition to this, aside from home remedies it is best to consult a professional health care provider for you to be able to gain enough knowledge about gingivitis. You can also learn how to treat it properly as well. The dentists can also diagnose your condition and recommend the best solution for your problems. Home remedies only serve to be the first line of defense against oral infection. It is still best to seek professional opinion about the said condition.

  • After getting the scaling done some times this happens especially if the patient has some systemic problem like diabetes. She should keep doing the warm saline rinses and along with that she can use some gum paint . If the condition persist then you can visit the dentist who will  give some medication like antibiotics.
