Hi, I'm 29 and I have retainers stuck on the back of my upper teeth for 2 years now. When the retainer got unstuck from my front tooth, it moved slightly forward by the time I went back to my orthodontist so that he could stick it back. Is there a way for my tooth to go back in its place or is it too late now? Thanks, Sophie

  • The fixed retainer is passive and it can not put the pressure on the teeth to make them come back but you can wear removable retainer for some time which can be activated. The small discrepencies can be treated and afterwards when the teeth are in alignment you can go for fixed retainers like before.
