A week ago I found a very small swelling in the gum above my front teeth. Its quite painless until I press it. Even after a week it is still there and showing no signs of receding. What can be the reason and what might be the possible treatment?

  • The small swelling in the gums in relation to front two teeth can be beacus of either the infection of the teeth or beacause of some gum problem. If it is because of infected teeth, then the infection can be either because of decay or because of traume to the teeth. In both the cases, the treatment will be to go for Root Canal Treatment. If it is because of gum infection, then after assessing the intensity of infection, the treatment will be done which can vary from simple cleaning or deep cleaning. In anyt case you have to go to dentist to get the diagnosis done.
