My daughter bit down on a piece of gum and her first molar came loose and I don't know if this is normal or not.

  • If the child is around 10-11 years of age then the tooth which has become loose may be a baby tooth which is about to be shed and replaced by a pre-molar. In this case it is normal as at this age the roots of the baby teeth are resorbed and they have to be replaced by the adult tooth but if it is a adult tooth which has become loose after biting on gum then it is not normal. You have to find out or send me the details about age and tooth number to pin point the view point. For more info on dentition for your reference that what is right age of shedding and eruption of teeth, you can read this article from given link
