I've been having perpetually sore gums for several days now. Is there anything simple I may do (tried salt water rinse) to soothe until I can get in for a checkup? Thank you.

  • For the sore gums, along with salt water rinses, you can apply some good otc available gum paint to soothe the gums. you can use some good antimicrobial mouthwash also to reduce the infection which will give your relief. Take vitamin C in the form of tab or you can take lemonade etc. Vitamin C helps in healing the gums. These all are home remedies but you have to see the dentist and get the treatment done after finding out cause of sore gums. The treatment depends on cause. If it is due to poor oral hygiene or plaque deposit then you have to go for SCRP / Deep Cleaning.
