My six year old has the two permanent teeth coming in on the bottom front. I am the Dad and a pharmacist who knows very little about kids teeth. Question: The six year old came to me and said these new teeth on the bottom are loose. He said they feel like they might come out! I tried to move them gently with a tooth pick and I think they moved some and he complained of mild pain. His teeth in question are about the same size as his adjacent baby teeth. Should I panic or just make an appointment with his pediatric dentist or does this sound normal ??

  • It is better to consult the pedodontist as they are mobile and there is pain. Normally the permanent teeth are  not very firm but they should not be mobile. Till you visit the pedodontist make sure that the child does not eat anything hard from the front teeth.  For more info on children dentistry you can visit the following link.....
