While getting my root canal, Dentist pushed gutta percha through the bottom of root canal and a piece of it broke off and was left there. They gave me antibiotics to take and was told they hope my body absorbs it. If it doesn't it may cause trouble in the future. Was this carelessness on Dentist's part? And should I be concerned about it?

  • All the dental products that are to be used inside tooth undergo hard quality testing and thus gets into the market after thorough safety and efficacy tests. You don't need to worry as all the dental materials including gutta percha are inert and gets absorbed without any side effects.
