I had to have emergency tooth extraction on Sunday today being Tuesday. The tooth had infection and started causing severe pain. The tooth would not come out. The dentist had to cut it into to make it easier to remove but still had trouble. There was a lot of pressure put on my mouth. Ended up the tooth was fused to the bone. How long should I expect this pain?

  • As it was a difficult tooth extraction, so it will take around week to 10 days for pain to go. Complete healing will take around 3 weeks to 3 months. You have to take lot of care so that wound does not get infected as the chances are dry socket are there. So follow all the instructions given by your dentist.
