  • Rivky actually with a fractured tooth the extraction is a bit complicated and there are more chances of infection and gum disease because it is difficult to extract each and every fragment completely out of socket in such cases. Also it causes sensitivity around the fractured tooth area. If u have such a condition then it is better to go to a dentist for clinical checkup and Xray for the correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment......for more info refer the link......http://www.identalhub.com/dental-tooth-fragment-reattachment-932.aspx

  • i am concerned if there will be complication to extract a fractured tooth, i was told by my general dentist that if tooth is fractured behind gumline, then dentist has to add, dont remmember what he said, that could make swollen face. gum is also red and inflamed..tnx

  • Rivk, this is true that if the tooth gets fractured from behind the gum line then it does cause complications like gum disease as it affects the gums present around the tooth also it causes sensitivity and patient experiences sensitivity around the fractured area.If u have such a condition then it is better to go to a dentist for clinical checkup and Xray for the correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment......for more info refer the link......http://www.identalhub.com/dental-tooth-fragment-reattachment-932.aspx

  • No it is nothing like that , a canine tooth extraction is not a very painful or complicated one .It is just like a simple and routine extraction of any oter tooth.Infact the wisdom tootth extraction is more complicated one.Just take care of certain basic precautions that u have to follow after each extraction like maintain pressure at extraction site with gauze piece for atleast 45 minutes , donot spit for 24 hrs this will help in controlling bleeding.Keep a pillow below ur head when u sleep .U can use icepacks for 24 hrs followed by heat packs after that to minimize swelling.Take the medications according to prescription and take complete rest after extraction , all these steps will help u in speedy recovery .............for more info refer the link.....................http://www.identalhub.com/article_do%27s-and-don%27ts-after-tooth-extraction-153.aspx
