Hi there I recently started getting a toothache in one of my pre-molars, an x ray revealed tooth decay quite close to the nerve. The dentist gave me two options: Get a deep filling but risk infection after the procedure and will then require root canal, or just go straight for the root canal. My tooth is sensitive to cold but not so much to hot, the ache comes and goes throughout the day and has only started doing this within the past few days. What should I do?

  • It is better to go straight for Root Canal Treatment as you have started with intermittent pain which is spontaeous, meaning without any stimulus. In such cases diagnosis is normally of irreversible pulpitis and it needs root canal treatment. So go ahead for Root Canal treatment. for more info on root canal treatment you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-root-canal-therapy-17.aspx
