Hi, My dear Doctor. One of my upper incissors to the left was exposed but not paining. Contrary to the Dr advice for RCT, I carried out simple filling which lasted for two years without problem, pain & sensitivity. Today, the material has sliped away and the tooth is a bit sensitive to air and water. I want to go for refilling instead of RCT. Advise pl.

  • If there is no pain and only sensitivity is there then you can try out filing instead of RCT. Sometimes the tooth recovers and you may not need root canal treatment. However if the tooth starts paining after getting the filling then you have to go for root canal treatment. However you should get the filling done immediately without wasting time as time gap can lead to more infection. for more info on root canal treatment you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-root-canal-therapy-17.aspx
