i have young lady patient and she has 80% of upper jaw extracted but there are some remaining like 13,23,24,25,in good condition but 16,17,26,25 are RF, and the rest are extracted. I'm trying to make an FPD instead of RPD, but as i mentioned the molars are RF if I'm going to do root canal therapy and put a post on each root is it possible to use it as base for bridges? or it will not stay long? but the pt had no enough budget for implant thanks so much

  • without seeing the X-ray,s and the clinical examination it is difficult to comment on whether post and core can be given or not. If the roots are healthy with good bone support and there is no sign of resorption then the post and core can be given but when giving the FPD  you have to calculate the support for the pontics.  If you have enough tooth material then you can go for the FPD.
