I have a painful white bump on the top of my gum where my wisdom tooth was removed several years ago. It's on the bottom right. It feels soft and is very painful especially when touched and has just started to throb a little bit. Took Excedrin about 30 minutes ago and it has helped a little. Cannot take ibuprofen.

  • Do warm saline rinses in such cases. It will help you. You have already taken pain killer. You have to go to dentist to get an xray done to find out what is cause of this white bump. It can be due to some boney spicule which is left when the tooth was extracted long time back or it can also be due to some traumatic injury. So if it does not subside in day or two or if the pain is increasing then you should scheduel a visit to a dentist, who will clincally examine it and make a treatment plan. for more info on sores you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-oral-lesions-65.aspx
