My son is 26 months old and his upper canines are only partially erupted. His other teeth are fully erupted and right on schedule. Should I take him to the dentist regarding this or should I just give it more time?

  • Normally the canines erupt at the age of around 16-20 months but some times the dental age is delayed but as you have mentioned that other teeth have erupted on time and if the same tooth on the opposite site has erupted on schedule then you should visit a pedodontist as sometimes because of some anomly the eruption is not on schedule. Your dentist will find out cause and do the needful. for more info on children dentistry you can check this link in our website...... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-children-dentistry-33.aspx
