I went to the dentist 2 days ago and had two fillings done and ever since then my tongue has been numb, anything i can do it making it hard to eat?

  • Normally when the numbing shot is given by dentist to do fillings, its effect wear off within 1-2 hours but sometimes while giving the numbing shot, some degeneration of the nerve takes place which takes sometimes to heal and hence the sensation of numbness is there. It can now take upto 6 weeks to 3 months for the nerve to regenerate and the sensation to completely come back.
