I have a bad toothache and might think i have an infection because my gums are swollen i try taking ibuprofen and doing the salt water rinse and it calms a little. What other medicine can help me out

  • Medicines may give you temporary relief but it is not the permanent treatment. For that you have to get the proper diagnosis .Treatment depends upon the diagnosis. You have to visit the dentist who will do the clinical examination nd take tha X-ray to find out the cause of the pain. if it is tooth infection then if tooth can be saved you have to go for the root canal treatment followed by crown but if the tooth can not be saved then you may have to get it pulled out.
