I need to have a tooth extracted (#5)and I let my doctor know that I would like to have a partial plate. My doctor made the impression. Should I be charged twice, once for a temporary plate and later for the permanent plate? I think that I'm being over charged. Please respond back today. I have been trying to find a sincere, honest and concerned dentist for years, but everywhere I go I'm running into the opposite.

  • If you get the plate immediately after tooth extraction then you will be charged twice, first for the removable partial which will get loose after healing of socket and second, if you want to go for plate then new impression will be taken and new plate will be given. If howeve you want to go for fixed bridge or implant then  that will also cost you. for more info on partial plates you can check this link in our website... http://www.identalhub.com/article_various-types-of-dentures-170.aspx
