I had a root canal finished last wednesday. I had to wait a week because it was infected. He gave me too much numbing stuff, and appologized. Now it has been a week and I have severe dry mouth and difficulty swallowing but nothing helps

  • Even if too much numbing shot is given even then afterwards you donot have dry mouth and diffculty in swallowing. Max he numbing effect can be prolonged. This difficulty in swallowing and dry mouth can be due to chemicals used in irrigation of canals or it can be due to some other reason like medication post root canal treatment. You can discuss this with your dentist and find out the exact cause. for more info on complications after root canal treatment you can check this article... http://www.identalhub.com/article_complications-and-care-after-root-canal-therapy-106.aspx
