Hello, I had a filling done a month and a half ago and it is hurting when I chew. The pain is caused on release. My dentist sent me to a specialist today and she said it seems my mollar is cracked. My concern is that it was not hurting prior to the filling. Is it possible the dentist cracked my tooth when she did the filling?

  • May be the tooth was not cracked before the dentist did the filling but the decay must be so much that when she cleaned it the tooth became week and it cracked. It is difficult to say that whether the crack was there prior to filling or not. Now if the crack it there you have to get the proper treatment done for that. If it can be saved then try to save it. May be you will need root canal treatment and crown on top of that.
