Ive had braces 4 years now and one of my teeth is having major gum recession to the point where when i bite down that tooth wiggles theyve tried to pull it down so much Here is photo : http://i.imgur.com/02f2Gv3.png im worried theyre gonna end up pulling it past the point where my gums can no longer hold I was told to put bands from top canine to bottom 1st molar on the left i feel like if i keep wearing these its only gonna make it worse but what if its already too late then what idk just help advice anything im already down 8 teeth cos my wisdom teeth and 2nd bicuspids on the bottom never existed and they made me get 2 1st bicuspids pulled at the top if they make me lose another one idk what ill do my orthodontist shows up late for appointments comes to look at my teeth for like 30 seconds, scribbles some notes and then leaves the dental assistants to do w/e never talks to me i cant deal with this i wish i never got braces theyve only made things worse

  • You gum has actually quite receded. But once the tooth comes into occlusion, it cannot be pulled down further and at that time, it stablises. You can talk to your Orthodontist or you can take second opinion for this. May be crowding is lot in your case and that is why you have to loose so many teeth. There is nothing to feel shy about discussing your situation with your Orthodontist as he is seeing your case from very begining and you are paying him for that.
