I was brushing my teeth when I noticed it. There was a yellow spot on theinside of one of my molars and I need to know what it is. Is it a cavity? There's not a hole or anything just a spot. Should i go to a dentist?

  • It can be anything. It can be incipient lesion which is basically intial caries without hole or it can be some hypoplastic lesion. So without clinical examination, it is difficult to comment what exactly this yellow spot is? The treatment depends on the diagnosis. If it is initial incipient lesion then my using fluoride and maintaining good oral hygiene, it can remineralise but if it is hypoplastic lesion then you may have to go for tooth colored filling for that. So schedule an appointment and get xray and exam done to find out what this exactly is.
