Dentist ripped my skin while grinding my bone and did not have enough skin to cover it. The stitches have come loose and more bone it now exposed and it will not stop bleeding. My dentist says not to worry the skin will grow over it. Is he trying to get out of a mistake? Please advise...

  • Tori are normal bony growth and normally does not cause any problem but when you have to go for dentures then sometimes it has to be removed surgically. Without clinical examination it is difficult to say that what ever is done is a mistake or normal but normally the skin grows and it does not cause any problem. If you are very apprehensive then you can check with another dentist and till then take all the precautions, take your meds regularly and maintain good oral hygiene so that secondary infection does not set in.
