I have been off medications for a year because I was having major dry mouth with sores. The sores are now gone due to my dentist prescribing "magic mouthwash". I still have a light case of dry mouth. However, my upper gums and roof of my mouth near my teeth are still very sensitive. I've been using ambesol to numb it. Is there anything else I can do for long term healing.

  • If the gums are still sore, keep using mouth wash and donot irritate the gums. For gums, vitamin C supplements are very good. you can use some good OTC gum paint also for gently massage of the gums. Maintain very good oral hygiene. You can do warm saline rinses in between and keep consulting your dentist. For more info on oral hygiene, you can check this article... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-oral-hygiene-63.aspx
