My dentist says that my upper molar needs to be extracted as "two of the three roots have been damaged." Should i check with some other dentist to see if a permanent filling might save the tooth? Thanks

  • If the roots are damaged then you have to find out from your dentist whether the tooth can be saved by root canal or not. If the root canal can be done it can save the tooth otherwise the tooth has to be pulled out. Whether root canal is possible or not can be found out by taking the X-ray so visit your dentist and find out., If you are not convinced you can have the second opinion.
