I got a tooth pulled Monday and I couldn't wait to smoke I have gauze in and rinse with salt water after every time but.I have a small amount of pain in.my jaw around where it was pulled. Would the pain be unbearable if I had dry socket?

  • Slight discomfort and mild pain can be there till a week or 10 days after tooth extraction even in non surgical extractions. The wound take around 3 weeks to heal. So till then you have to be very careful so that infection does not take place. keep doing warm saline rinses and maintain good oral hygiene. In case of dry socket the pain is unbearable and it keeps on increasing instead of gradually decreasing. for more info on dry socket you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-tooth-extraction-27.aspx
