I was eating one day and all off a sudden part of my tooth fell out. I looked and it was a little piece of tooth BETWEEN my two front teeth. I'm positive it must be a cavity. How would a dentist go about fixing that without messing up the tooth right beside it? And how much pain will I go through to get it fixed? I am TERRIFIED of going to my dentist appointment! :(

  • If the tooth is broken due to cavity then the dentist will restore it with tooth bonding material which is tooth colored and the adjacent tooth will not be affected by this. But this type of restoration depends on how much tooth is broken. If it is small part and tooth is not very sensitive then it can be restored by bonding material otherwise you may have to go for root canal treatment with veneering or dental crown. It is a normal non painful procedure. for more info on front teeth restoration you can check this article... http://www.identalhub.com/dental-cosmetic-makeover-options-for-front-teeth--597.aspx
