  • It is quite safe to get the root canal treatment done from student MDS doctor. In dental school the treatment is done under supervison of senior doctors and as he is a MDS student, he has to do a perfect job. After root canal treatment you can go for dental crown immediately if there is no pain or you can wait for 7-10 days. It depends upon how much tooth structure is lost and what are chances of tooth getting cracked or fractures by masticatory forces. so you dentist can give you better advice as he is giving you treatment. for more info you can read this article on necessity of having a dental crown after RCT  http://www.identalhub.com/article_restoration-of-root-canal-treated-tooth-300.aspx
