HI I had 6 teeth removed it took the dentist about 45 minutes of actual removal time 10 - 15 minutes for numbing me up. They want to charge me for doing alveoloplasty on the area - wouldn't I have known if they were grinding down parts of the bones, wouldn't I have noticed them scraping or doing something other than the pressure from the actual removals?

  • As the area is numb, so it is difficult for patient to make out what is being done by dentist. The dentist might have done alveoloplasty and it is possible that you did not come to know about that, otherwise normal tooth extraction does not take that long. So it is better you discuss your doubts with dentist. for more info on alveoloplasty, you can read this article.... http://www.identalhub.com/dental-what-is-alveoloplasty-in-dentistry-771.aspx
