Hi, I have recently found a specific spot on one of my lower teeth on the inside of my mouth that when I floss or push gently with my tongue gives me a quick sharp pain. I am afraid it is some sort of crack but when I look in the mirror closely I see nothing. Any explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your reply, I look forward to it.

  • The pain you are experiencing while doing brushing or flossing may be due to tender gum. Normally interdental papilla gets traumatised sometimes due to some hard food or truama due to vigours brushing. Just do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day and you can apply some otc gum paint. This will help. Keep a watch and if does go 3-4 days then visit a dentist. for more info on dental pain you can check the article of your interest from following link in our website... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-dental-pain-42.aspx
